When I was about 7 years old, I began to collect beads. This collection has grown over the years, and now beads have finally moved into my art making via weaving and assemblage. Evoking traditional women’s handcraft in weaving and sewing but with paper, beads, and photos is a natural progression for me. This all speaks of my respect for these skills, it represents feminine beauty, and pays tribute to the ancient craft of glass in decoration.
